Dynamic Auto Detailing’s Matthew Markiewicz grew up in Mississauga Ont. and moved to Whistler 17 years ago.
Here’s Matty’s story…I moved here to be a ski bum for one season, but fell in love with the place and like so many others stuck around for the long term. Outside of work I enjoy biking, snowboarding, snowmobiling and pretty much anything that gets me out of the house.
Initially, I had planned to start Dynamic Auto Detailing in Ontario with a few friends after my first season in Whistler. That didn’t happen, but I’ve always been into cars and the idea never left my head. When a cargo van became available through a friend I jumped at the idea of having a mobile business in Whistler and Pemberton. I kept it as a side gig for years until 5 years ago the business started to take off and I started to outgrow the mobile service. Finding a location was difficult with zoning restrictions and availability until last April a unit became available in the Pemberton Industrial Park and something about it felt just right.
The biggest challenge in operating my business would be the slow winter months. Summer is my busy time when balancing life and work can get tricky. Right now I’m enjoying operating out of a location and being able to offer more services like Paint Protection Film, Ceramic Coatings, and vehicle wraps.
The greatest reward is setting my own hours and bringing my best friend Zero, my Aussie shepherd/border collie, to work with me every day. It’s also inspiring to be part of a growing community and see my clients, new and old, leaving happy with a freshly detailed vehicle.
What I’d like people to know about Dynamic Auto Detailing is that we’re always happy to talk about cars, and detailing and answer any questions you may have about our services or products. We stock a range of products specifically designed to benefit your vehicle in our harsh Sea to Sky environment. I often see people who have been sold services or products that aren’t right for our environment.

PPF (Paint Protection Film) is a transparent film with self-healing properties that are applied to the car bodywork to protect it from scratches and stone chips.
Ceramic coating is a chemical polymer solution that is applied by hand, it bonds with the paint of your car and creates an additional hydrophobic layer of protection lasting from 2-5 years.
